PJ? Lucky? Puddles? Stop scaring me! I haven't even named my boat. I don't think I could come up with 20 or so names for my guitars and basses.

Brian....you can do it.

Open your mind, go sit down next to your boat, look at it for a while ..then just name it....I always liked the name of the boat in that Tony Braxton video.....SEAduced

P.J. is "pride and Joy"....self explanitory
Puddles? That's what developed under me when I opened up the case and saw my Feb.'73 4001 for the first time....
Lucky? I felt so lucky to be in the position to own a 2nd 4005.....

These are the only instruments I've named.....so far!

My girlfriend often asks if I've put 'my babies' to bed after playing.

Speaking of boats, Chris, I have a 21' Boomerang trailer/sailer which has a burgundy hull. It's called 'Vintage Port' and there is always at least one bottle on board (beats rum any time!!).

If I had a Burgundyglo Ric it would be called 'Shiraz'!

Shiraz? That's my online handle elsewhere. Good name!

My guitars aren't named. They would likely end up being 'Audrey (Hepburn)', 'Ingrid", etc.

Fact is, unlike some gents, I haven't named other things either.

I named one for an old girfriend, I had to sell it and the experience was so traumatic for me that I haven't done it since. <wink>

Nice Chris. I actually had a pretty good belly laugh over the "puddles" inspiration.

OK... I've looked at my boat. The only thing that comes to mind is an episode of the Flintstones (now stay with me). Fred and Barney are trying to name their boat. Fred wanted something like "Nautical Lady" and Barney wanted "Queen of the Sea". So they compromised with the first 3 letters from Fred's suggestion and the last 3 letters from Barney's suggestion.

"NAU-SEA". I think I'm on to something here. I'll keep you updated.

I'm confused, Bob! What haven't you done since - the old girlfriend or sold 'it'!!

Speaking of cartoons, how about 'Bullwinkle' for a Ric bass?

"DIVIDED WE SAIL". It first aired 4-6-62. Fred wanted NAUtical and Barney wanted SEA Horse. Hence the compromise... Nau-Sea

I can't believe I actually looked it up! My how Friday Nights have changed!

Howard, they're both gone so I guess it really doesn't matter anymore.

I've never had a food bass Howard. Must be great for the end of the gigs.
