Instock 360/12c63??

Post by the_tonebender »

Does anyone know if these are in stock yet in stores? I'm awaiting arrival at my local shop the House of Guitars.

These are shipping domestically but this dealer was not one of the early folks to order these, so you may well be waiting awhile yet. Mind you, this is a great store and good guys to do business with- but like so many U.S. dealers did not move particularly fast when the product was first offered.

Tonebender,
Nice to see that you made it here to this forum. I left the "other" one a while ago when it kept running into problems. When the HOG does get some, I plan to go in and have my pictures taken with them...and with bluebursts. Maybe I will see you there! Cheers.

By the way, I cannot argue with John Hall but I also cannot imagine that Andy would not be one of the first to order them. Maybe he was touring with the Chesterfield Kings or something, but it is not like him to avoid ordering cool, new Rickenbackers.

I honestly don't know why but many of the domestic dealers were asleep at the wheel on this one.

Mr. Hall, if I may ask, am I assuming then from your response that it will be quite awhile before my store the HOG sees any of these? Are we talking weeks, months??

My .02 on the 360C -- The color is close to the 60's pinkish red. With age it will probably be right on the money - The weight is more than I expected. The neck is a medium shape not as skinny as I was expecting but very comfortable and easy to play ( good string spacing at the nut and bridge ) I was expecting a more of a hand made feel to it --- The wiring is modern- cts pot's- plastic wire and modern caps - one weird thing -- The neck pick up is a flat pole-( Expected) but they drilled holes in the body as if it were to be a long pole - and in the lower mono jack I have no sound in the treble position--- mhhmm The sound can be mellowish / acoustically but you can still get that Rick treble bite--- It's definitely different than any other Rick I own - Over all an excellent guitar :} Id rate it about a 8 if I had to pick a number --
