The only thing I've managed to complete and put out there is a classical styled piece that I created a while ago (with a program called Midi Orchestra) - it's not perfect (I know what improvements I want to make), but there are bits I'm proud of. No Ricks, of course, since it's General Midi. Image

From The Kerbcrawlers first album: 'Sabre dance'. Yes, THAT one. A November 2004 Midnight Blue 4003, played through a Trace Elliot 715 combo vs Gibson Les Paul Classic goldtop and a Les Paul Custom. Recorded Sept 2005.

You can download the first ep by my band, the Metric Mile, from our web site (www.metricmile.com). It was recorded with one guitar, a 360 MID with black trim. On the album we're working on now, I've also used an actual '62 Fender Jaguar (not mine, unfortunately). If we don't hurry up and finish it, though, maybe the 370/12 BBR I have on order will show up in time to make an appearance.

Ethan, your band is great. It's good to know I'm not the only indie popper hanging around here!

"Requiem" is just a little piece of noise that I plan on introing my record with. Main repeating riff- me and my 4001, lead guitar- my wife and her Tele.

Enjoy!
What do you mean the Bass is too loud???

MP3's on the Discography page. I wasn't in the band from 92 - 2000, so I'm not on any of the studio recordings except the first two. The live stuff is all me, though.

I just got my 330, so don't go looking for the Rickenbacker sound. I rehearsed with it for the first time last week, and the whole band went "ooooh!"

song 1 has my 660/12 nicely panning across, # 3 has it too, but not played very well! (first time I played it!)

If ya wanna know what a 4004Cii sounds like, take a listen. I had to lower the encoding to make the files fit on the lame web service I'm temporarily using.

Jerry, I like how that 660-12 is used to play Police-style, or early U2-ish type of chords. That is a unique usage of the Rick 12, in my opinion. It sounds great. Damon, is that picture of you? If so, you look like Sir Paul as a younger man. I like that "Saturday Rainbow", that's a real gem, cool hippie type music. I was unable to download some of the others ...

A home demo version of Slade's In for a penny, featuring the 'lacking' lead vocal (of myself) and a Midnight Blue Ric 4003. The guitar used was my Tokai Goldstar sound. Both the guitar and bass were put through a Marshall Drivemaster and DI'd.

It will be up for about a week.

Ah... cool! Here's where the other indie Rick artists hang out.

Here's a few sites where my tunes can be heard featuring my 4001 Rick basses.
