I didn't know that the bass in 1986 had walnut wings and shark teeth inlays. Am I missing something? I thought the Walnut wings were only on the reissues, but those have dot markers. I guess that makes me confused...more than I usually am.

it started out life as an ordinary 1980's 4003 bass ... those are maple headwings with some color added ... like a wood stain ...

I wonder how much wood has been chopped out under the pickguard ... I am always leery of bidding on any bass that has no strings on it ...

Chevrolet Caprice car (4-wheels). Built in October 1986, with some missing parts. The car is in very good condition; the only marks I could find on it anywhere are on the Chevy nameplate and the engine block. There are a bunch of parts in the trunk, but I do not think all the parts to get the car running again are there. The knobs, guages, and ignition are all there and definitely go with the car. The transmission thing that makes the car go is missing, and maybe more. Check the photos to see exactly what you will get. The hubcaps are vintage Ford, and they fit well. As you can tell, I don't know much about cars, but I do know that this will be a great opportunity for someone to make the car they want starting with a vintage Chevy.

The pickguard is probably hiding some more routing by the looks of it.

I have the opportunity to buy a '78 fireglo in excellent condition, with one exception. The owner installed a kaler tremlo in the mid 80's. I offered him $350 and he said he'd think about it. The neck, frets, and finish are perfect. Except for that tremlo. If he decides to sell it, do you think it's worth it. Would a filler piece of maple, glued with titebond be able to hold a replacement bridge, or should I pass.

Do you think it would sound right? Especially because the bridge would be mounted almost exclusively to the filler wood.
