Mitch: This instrument was made by Rickenbacker for distribution through Radio Tel and is the real deal. It is similar to the Model 425 and had a set neck. I am unsure of the precise production dates but have read from a number of sources that it was produced during the period 1964 to 1975.
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm

Mitch, the model is offically called Electro ES-17, which is the same as 425, or in this case a 420, becuase it is a 1973 guitar. They also made an ES-16 which was the same Rickenbacker 1000.
Peter, I just sent some photos of my Electro ES-16 to Bjorn to fill out his "Models" section. My ES-16 is March 1963.
