RIckenbacker Thong Picture

Post by scoobster28 »

I remembered seeing last week a picture of a Rickenbacker thong, and I was going ot show it to my girlfriend, but now I cannot find the picture or the discussion. Can someone send me the link or the picture? Thanks.

No, there was a dicussion on the forum HERE last week showed a picture of one. John Hall even commented about it. I just thought it was kinda neat, but never saved the picture. Where did that discussion go? Does anyone have the picture saved that would be willing to send it to me?

Wow, Scoob, you're tenacious. And obsessive.

It was in a thread titled "What do you thongk of this". I don't remember the category, though.

Good luck.

I am not trying to be obsessive. I just recall it, and it seems that either NO ONE ELSE does (and how can you forget a Rickenbacker thong? Really?) or it was ended by Peter and I didn't read why and everyone else doesn't want to bring it up for fear of being kicked. Just wondering why everyone is quiet. I thought it was unique, cool, and certainly different.

Sorry to send you on a wild thong chase, Scoob...it does seem that Peter removed it. (The thread, not the thong...oh, never mind...)

Scoob, it was there. As a matter of fact JH even replied to the initial post, citing, if serious, the lady who modeled it for RIC. Other than that can't say what happened to it but may have been yanked due to questionable taste or fearful of where the thread may have led.

Paul, it is okay. At least someone agrees that at one time it existed. I wonder if someone could send me the picture off-forum. I mean, the guy who put it up last week still has it. If they do, I can be contacted at [email protected]

Thanks. Once again, no preverted reasoning behind this, but I understand why the administrator might have wanted it removed.

I remember the thread. And I remember that Josie Bissett was the actress who modeled the thong. Unfortunately I didn't save the pic.

Scott,
I have no idea what it is worth, or if you are joking. I received the picture off-forum already, but the whole catalogue sounds intriguing. I wonder what else is/was available. What do you want for it?

Howard, I like how you think. Have any instruments you are getting rid of? I'd love for you to pay me to take them off your hands.

I am half kidding. I have a couple of copies of the catalog. I have a file cabinet full of not-yet-vintage paper that just sits there letting time pass.

The thong was the most interesting item. At the time these were available my girlfriend worked at Rickenbacker, and I couldn't convince her to wear her work home...
