350v63

Post by clearblue »

After purchasing a Fireglo 330 from Sam Ash a couple of weeks ago I'm determined to get a 350v63 as well. They can only order it in jetglo and I want it in fireglo. I can order it in fireglo from music123.com for about $200 less than the jetglo from Sam Ash. suggestions?

Unless you can find one in stock, more than likely you're looking at a 7-9 month wait for a new one--maybe longer depending on model and color. I got lucky--have had one on order since last Nov (EDD Nov '05)..and then found one on MF as a "blem"--more than likely an order someone cancelled or returned in this case--there's not a scratch on the guitar.

As far as who to order from, I believe all of the major internet companies will price match--where there might be an issue is a price hike between the '04 and '05 models.

Classic Axe in Manassas, VA has a Fireglo 350 in stock. Give Russ a call at (703) 330-7966 or visit his website, www.classicaxe.com .
If you think all is going well, you've obviously overlooked something.

Has anyone ordered from pickofthericks.com ? They have a blueburst 350v63 on order and no fireglo on order for that model. I already have a 330 in fireglo and want the same color. I couldn't find a 350 on classicaxe.com.

Dan,

I can attest for Chris Clayton at Pick of the Ricks, I bought two basses from him and he's fantastic to deal with. Those Bluebursts may take awhile to come in, as I'm waiting for a 4003. Russ at Classic Axe is a good friend of mine, and while his website may not be the most eye-popping, the best thing to do is to give Russ a call about his current inventory. I know that he has a Fireglo 350v63 (as of last Friday) in stock. Good luck to you wherever you decide to buy one.

Thanks Ron. You're right about having to wait for the bluebursts. 10 months waiting time. Also, thank-you for the referal on Russ with Classic Axe and Chris Clayton from Pick of the Ricks.
I don't have the cash as of yet so maybe the blueburst is the logical choice for now. Isn't it true that variety is the spice of life and I already have a RIC in fireglo. If I decide for sure on the fireglo I will call Russ.

Dan,
Just to second what Ron stated, Chris Clayton (Pick of the Ricks) is a grrrreat guy to do business with. I purchased my 325C58 from him a while back. He was more than helpful with any information I requested or any helpful hints regarding the set up of the guitar, as well any modification tips. He was also very understanding with payment proceedures. I'm definately going to work with him again - hopefully to find a 4001V63 MG. He's just a wonderul fellow to deal with.
It is what it is!

I waited over a year for my 350v63, but that may have been because it was ordered in Monty Brown, right after the color of the year announcement for that year. I can testify under oath and will submit to a polygraph that it was well worth the wait!

I think Rickenbackers are the most beautifully finished of any brand. In fact I've not seen a finish as beautiful on any wood surface.
They're stunning!
