Columbus confluence, possible Rick Bass book
OK, guys, there were no secrets being hidden from you, I just wanted to check with Chris and Jeff before posting this message.
I'm clearing my schedule for Saturday May 14 so that I can get to the informal (?) Rick confluence somewhere near Columbus, Ohio. That weekend is usually chock full for me as I lead bird hikes and display 100+ model airplanes at the annual airport military open house. But I'm giving them up to see Rick basses. Why? Well, I think this will be a great opportunity to photograph a variety of Rick basses for the book I've started. Now, don't get too excited; I don't have a publisher or a schedule, so it's still in the early building stages. And I haven't approached JH or the company to see what help they could be. This is still a dream and a retirement project that could still be a few years away.
At any rate, I'm going to go to this event and shoot as many instruments as I can (and bring along a couple of mine to show), and talk to as many of you as I can. You guys are the experts, believe it or not. I'm hoping to pick your brains so that the book is accurate (something we model airplane guys are nuts about), and the best it can be. Hope to see you there, Saturday p.m.

I'm on him, Marc! Met him last month in Chicago for dinner and I could have talked to him throughout the night. A very smart guy! I suspect I'll have him doing a few things to my Rics in the near future. I trust him!
Jeff, hate to be a pest but do you have the hotel info with the room rate? Last I heard there was going to be a group rate.
