After more than 17 months of waiting, the trans red 4004/5Cii is finally here. I waited all day to open the box. I thought maybe you guys would like to open it with me...

There has been another change to these basses other than the pickup positions, the fingerboard is unfinished. Though there is not much figure to the wood, it looks much nicer in person, than these photos show. This bass really needs a setup. I guess the neck didn't like being shipped back and forth across the country. If you see the overall condition of the box, you would wonder how the shipper would treat it if shipping wasn't insured!

Hey Joey - congrats! Maybe other folks here can also post "opening of the box" pictorials. I'd be interested to hear your opinion of the new pickup placement. And what's that light coloured thing in the case???

I really like that bass Joey. The pics were great, but what I want to know is...was your heart rate up as you were opening the box/case ? There was a certain intensity in your expression ! I am extremely envious. I hope you get it set up nicely and get it it out there on the stage ASAP.
