Best Price For Celestion Blues

Post by admin »

So what is the best price for Celestion Blues, the old G12 where you live.

I can get a pair, delivered to me for $1000. Canadian but that does not include shipping?

I would be very interested to see how the prices differ around the world.

Incidently, there is only one company that can sell to Canada at this point as far as I can tell.

Peter, where are you in Canada? If it is cheaper for you, I don't mind if you wanted to ship them here and then I could meet you in Seattle or something. (assuming you're in BC?) Or if you're on the east coast, you coudl always consider that with another board member who is in the US?

Thanks Gregg. I am on the east coast but I am grateful for the offer.

Well maybe you can find one of us Yanks on the east coast to ship to and meet? If you get a price break by doing it, then go for it!

Avatar Speakers has the best price I've seen. $244 US plus shipping. I've also heard that WWBW.com has B-stock blues for under $200 per. Cosmetic problems only -- they work perfectly. I've heard that WWBW is the same company as Music 1-2-3 (and that Music 1-2-3 also carries B-stock Blues), but I'm not sure of that.

Hmmm, went back and checked. WWBW no longer has the Blues in their outlet section, so they must have sold out of them.

Oh, and North Coast Music has the Vox-branded blues (same speakers, but with a Vox sticker) for $275 a pop.

Kevin: Thanks, this is exactly what I have found over the past several weeks. I don't think anyone beat Avatar and they provide an excellent service.

Music 123 does indeed carry B stock blues and I have seen them as low as $187 US but as you might expect they don't stay on the shelf too long.
