Nice color! Too bad I have a Cii in Trans Blue or else I'd get one of those. And I can't sell the TB one since my wife likes it too much. Blue is her favorite color Image.
If you think all is going well, you've obviously overlooked something.

Congrats and enjoy Joey! And thanks for the experience!

I like it without too much figure and the walnut wings! The unfinished neck is cool too!

Let us know your thoughts between the two.

Can't wait for my 5Cii TR to arrive! It’ll make a nice mate to my natural 4 Cii!

cheers!

My R.A.S is already so bad for the 4004cii/BBR I ordered from MP....this just intensifies it!!!

Thanks again for sharing this moment with us, Joey!

Thanks guys, when you get new Ricks, I'd like to see your unpacking photos also.

Andy, you went for the 5Cii, cool. I think you'll really love it. Are you getting it from POTR?
I know the wide neck might seem a bit much to some of you guys that are so used to seeing the thin neck of 4001 and 4003 basses, but I find the neck of the 5Cii to be very comfortable. I think I prefer this new one over the mapleglo...then again it just might be the new toy excitement. I do like anchoring my thumb on the bridge pickup more on this one than the mapleglo since it I prefer holding my hand at the center of the body most of the time. The trans red sounds very nice when playing slap style if you have both pickups on or just the bridge pickup on. I thought that slapping with just the neck pickup on didn't have the intensity that a slapped sound should...but I am just okay at slapping since I don't do it very much. Someone who is a better slapper than I am would probably get a much better 5Cii slap sound at all 3 pickup settings.
...and I still sound like I'm from da Bronx!!
Here's my three Rick 5 stringers hanging out together.
