Rob, you most certainly were not tactless. You simply took a complainer's review at face value.
Hope you're loving your guitar as much as I do mine, and good luck with it!

I'd just like to add that I had a problem with my bridge screws slipping a bit on my 360. As suggested by a few folks on this forum, I bought some locktite.
I used the blue locktite, and I haven't had a problem with it moving ever since. The action has been absoutely perfect. It hasn't shifted, and the guitar plays wonderfully.
But...
I haven't tried to break the seal and adjust the action yet. I haven't needed to. We'll see what happens when I have to cross that bridge.

I have, with red Loctite, just last evening. No problems. Broke free with slight effort.

Um, between the heads of the screws and the bridge? Their purpose is to put tension on the assembly so the screws don't fall out. They don't work very well, but a Rick looks naked without them!

Here's the page that shows them, part #06114: http://www.rickenbacker.com/pdf/gbridge.pdf
I've seen grommets used here before. The grommet get pinched between the side of the bridge and the threads preventing the screw from turning.
