Help me! Im in need of P.A advice

Post by roadrunners »

ok....I'd like to admit that i have a ****** P.A

We started out with the LG-4 (stageworks) and we tried to boost it over the years.....

Ok so currently.....We have the original speakers, along with 2 kustom monitors (probably made in the same factory) and the same head! But we are first running our mics through a Studiomaster mixer (nice mixer).....Now....Ive got around 300$....and we'd like to buy some new speakers (mains) and possibly a new head and or power amp to pwer the speakers.....help me!

I tend to like using just the mixer and powered speakers instead of mixer, unpowered speakers and a power amp. Less stuff to carry around, and less things to go wrong. I like the Mackie powered speakers with the horn and a 12 inch speaker in them, but they cost more than $300. I'm holding out for a pair for myself and one of these days I'll get enough cash to get them...

I have a monster Pa. But I will have to say that once you get to a certain level. It takes a lot more than double the power to have any real over all increase in the actual volume.

You can't go wrong with Carvin.

My band has had pretty good results with Carvin stuff, too.

We have Carvin monitors and they rock! All of my other Carvin stuff has been high quality, decent price and can take some abuse!
