Hey Graham, you should have enough bits of 4005 basses to make a complete one now!!! (Tongue firmly in cheek).

Graham, that collection is insane...you're a very lucky man! Image Congrats on the 4005 also, looking forward to seeing / hearing more about it. Love the '58!

Sure looks like the Loot bass. What a deal!
I found my c/b 73 Fretless in there for 600 pounds and check it out every week from here in Florida. I just missed that one as I looked on Wednesday I think.
With Loot the key is getting there before everyone else....

Yep, it was the Loot bass and it's cleaned up really well. Saw it advertised at 10:15 and picked it up at 11:15. I'll post some pics soon.

Graham, you didn't happen to notice if he had any lefty ones hanging about in the corner, did you? I would even go up to £600 if it was a really nice one!

The owner of the 67 4005/6 on eBay hasn't been responding to my emails. I let him know that I'm only 45 minutes from him and would pick up the bass in person. Generally when you get no response to an email like that it means the listing is a fake. Anyone remember seeing these images before?

I'm going to give him another day before pulling my bids.

I heard from a dealer that this same guy had agreed to sell it to him. This was before he listed it on Ebay. They had a "done deal" and then he never heard back from the guy. He wouldn't reply email or telephone. Weird.

Graham - I expect the full tour of this phenominal collection when I'm in London (aassuming you are there) next month. I need to report the 4005 for the confluence a week after. OK? Hey, I'm good for a pint or three...
