*ack!*
*gasp!*
*sigh!*

I still think that white on white with white trim would make a terrific Color Of The Year bass!
My first bass was a Rickenbacker...
My best bass is a Rickenbacker...
My last bass may very well be a Rickenbacker

The Will Lee picture is from his Beatles cover band The Fab Faux which he plays a Rick.

Love the white on white. Thinking about getting one myself one day.

Thanks! So far no-one liked the Burgundy idea, so I'll go with white. Remember that it will not be like Jared's white-on-white because mine has black binding, so with white guards it will look more like Will Lee's white Ric (only with ½-inch spacing...)

On the other hand a black guard will be more period-correct.

Since she's staying white, I think I'll wait a while with the refin job, play her enough to know if she's a keeper, before I invest more money.

Are you sure you want to refinish that one Ilan? It looks good from here!

Yeah, I'm getting used to the aged white, looks good against the chrome. I'm keeping it like that at least until I know if it's a keeper.

The bass is currently strung with TI flats, sounds really good and plays effortlessly. I'm still amazed at how easy and effective the truss rods trick was.

I think the flash makes those old creamy finishes look more brilliant white. That last photo makes that white look like new!
It is a great colour on a Ric bass...
