I'm curious what the experts have to say about this one:

If it's the one I'm thinking it is, it used to belong to Marty Wilson-Piper, a custom order for him.

Hmm..I'm guessing a model 360V64SPC,VB with f-hole and added 3rd p/up in Fireglo...

Supposedly, the Rose Morris model 1998 came with 3 pickups, F hole and vibrato. They were tabbed the 'slim line editions'. The '97 model came with two pickups and f hole. But it was probably a custom since these came with no binding or slant inlays.

I had a chance to buy that one a few years ago, but I didn't want to go above $1,250. <idiot!>

Yep, Marty Wilson-Piper

I agree.

I remember bidding on that some time ago when it was on eBay (unsuccessfully, obviously!). As I recall, "MWP" is written or inscribed on the neck under the truss rod cover.

Was there not another Marty Wilson-Piper Ric up for sale as well at one time? Or is this the only one?

I wondered if it was the MWP custom, but couldn't find anything in the archives about it.

About 6 or 7 years ago he solicited bids for a 366 via a Church fansite.

No, this would have been more recent, Ted, and I can't recall if it was mentioned on here or on Ebay I saw it but I am almost sure it wasn't the same guitar.
