How about a double bound 360 with a bound headstock--- but instead of the usual binding they install something like rope lighting so the outline of the axe is lit up...

So if you exchange your present guard you can get say a gold one. I have a Montezuma Glo and I think that the Gold guard and truss rod cover would look great on it.

I still like the look of the gold guards on a Fireglo finish...

That looks like a gold guard on yours Paul? Unless its the light. I can get a gold guard but not a truss rod cover. I wonder how silly that would look?

If you have a raised letter TRC you can paint it gold, then paint the letters in black. This works well.

The letters were actually "painted" with a permanent marker.

Dan, it is a gold guard. I make my own guards on a laser cutter, and paint them a slightly different and warmer gold color than the stock Rickenbacker color. I also made the TRCs on my Ricks on the same machine, with Rickenbacker's knowledge and my agreement not to give or sell them to anyone else.ImageImage

Nice Paul. Did you cut them out in clear and paint the back in gold? Did you paint the letters on the TRC in white?

Dan, They were laser-cut from clear acrylic and the backs painted in gold. The lettering is laser-engraved and painted with a special mirra-chrome paint ($1200.00 a gallon!) that actually looks like polished chrome. It just looks white in the pictures.
