Awesome doubleneck !
Currently bidded at $ 623, will probably reach 7 to 10 times that.

I wish I had that... then I could play "Xanadu" almost correctly. I'd need a 4080/12 for that.

Hmm... I hope anyone in here has the good sense to pick up that rare beauty. A 1979, just like mine. DO IT!

This is the only 4000 Series bass that you can actually shim the neck, right? I wish I could do that on a 4003/4001 to control neck angle.

Luckily for my marriage, I (1) am broke, (2) have two herniated lunbar discs, and (3) suck on guitar. So I'll be drooling over the pics, but the actual bidding I will leave to the rest of you guys. I hope a Forumite gets it.

A fine example and the same reasons as Ilan for not bidding...except for the herniated lunbar discs.

Is that for real Ilan?...sounds like it could be painful.

The 6-pole treble pickup is clearly a '90s high-gain, which is not a bad idea as it is hotter than a late '70s one. I can't tell whether the other three high-gains are original to the instrument or not, though.
I truly hope any one of you snaps that beauty up, guys. Don't disappoint me!

This is a rare auction, in that the starting bid was extremely low with no reserve, and the seller has excellent feedback, and a lot of it.
No worries buying from this seller.
