It belongs to a forum member if I'm not mistaken.

Another question. Are toaster tops guitar pickups?

That's Jeffery Scott's.....I'm sure he'll chime in.

The toasters are guitar and/or bass pickups.

I think it's just a toaster cover over the treble pickup for looks only....I may be wrong though.

I'm sure that's Jeffreys' too.....Paul Yan put a toaster cover on the treble pickup too on one of his basses.

Thats Jeffery Scott's allright. If I remember correctly he bought the bass from Bass Northwest about a year ago, and done all the mod's that you see. Including a vintage TRC.

Yep, that be mine alright! The toasters are indeed six magnet guitar pickups, just like Rickenbacker used on their basses going back to '61.

Is the dual toaster thing crazy? No! Anyone know what is would sound like? I know what it sounds like, and so will everyone who will be at the RIC Confluence in a couple of weeks. Image

Putting the toaster in the bridge position was very easy as the mounting holes are already in the plate for the original hi gain.

Hi all, I'm back, posting from Beijing, China. Been producing and mixing here for a little while.

Martin, actually I put a high gain cover onto the "Sergio" treble pickup of my '98.

I tried putting a black high gain cover onto my Shadow but the treble pickup cavity was narrower than my '98 and didn't allow a bass PU cover to be planted in. It seems only post '90 4003 can accept the mod.

I love Jeff's 2-toaster idea.It just looks so classy! Now if I could just get me a toaster-covered high gain treble pickup with adjustable polepieces to put on the '98... Sergio, I need your magic again...

I was just thinking about asking a question reguarding a toaster pickup on the bridge.
Jeff has the answer here.I don't think it's crazy at all.Nice Pic's Jeff and Paul.

Hey Paul! Nice to see you back posting. Saw your e-mail last night.
As for my 'magic', just name your requirements.
A Rickenbacker bass is much like the Jaguar E car - perennially ultra-fashionable.

Hi Paul,
Back from the glitz and gliter of the music biz!

Why not just put a toaster there?
