"The Magic of Rickenbacker" or "I'm Nuts"
I was just thinking how passionate RIC owners are. I have a 71 SG which I love, but there's no SG forum (well there probably is one, but I don't really care to read/post on it!).
There's something about the RIC though which really excites people. Somehow they're still unique beauties in a world dominated by Gibson & Fender clones.
I can't stop looking at pictures of RICs, reading about them, hearing others tell stories of their own RIC's.
Ok, if my wife reads this she's really going to think I'm nuts!

It's possesive. I also spend way too much time either playing, obsessing, or reading about Ric's..and oh yeah, spending forum time also. I don't quite understand it and I've given up trying to figure it out

I spend as little time as possible with you people...you're all nuts!
Actually, I try to keep it down to about 18-20 hours a day.

Hey! there's a good reason to be nuts around here... I've waited 20 years to finally find this forum... I had no support around to share my enthusiasm about Rics. And I would probably still be playing on my beloved 360JG if only internet would have showed up 7 years earlier with you bunch of nuts. Imagine, no one could adjust my truss rods at that time and no one would dare touch it fearing to ruin a legend!!! So I welcome you, Revolver, in this great forum!

I'd rather be nuts than Rickless (or is that the other way around?)....... Who is Rick anyway?
Welcome from me also, Dave. I drive everybody at the office nuts through my obsession. You should have seen their eyes roll when I turned up with the Rick mug...... hahahahah to them!!

I'm lucky I work at a Post-Production studio. Despite our work being mainly film and television, many of the senior staff remember the "old days" when music was actually recorded in studios by live musicians. So a few of them share my love of guitars and my Ric's have even turned a few heads!
