4001?

Post by tommyj »

I would like to know more about my Rick. It was built March 1979, ser# SC 1442, head stock only says 4001. The fret markings are translucent, Jetglo, 20 frets, no zero fret, ROS. Someone please tell me it's special. Any info would be appreciated.
Ow....that's gonna leave a mark

It was one of about 30 basses made that day .

Jetglo/Black and Fireglo were the two most common colors then .

You will find all kinds of silly writting under the parts , look under the bridge , inside the control area , and in the truss rods cavity .

Can you see the bottom of the resin in the fretboard inlays?
Do you have a raised letter logo ? you should !

What to say , it is a standard issue bass made that year .

Special ?..........to you it may be .Enjoy it to the fullest
So you too want yours "ALAPWOB"?!?!
