That's cool Ron - congrats!
A C64S in anything than the standard clear satin finish still strikes me as being a bit strange unless some wood flaws showed up at the last moment as the body (and more particularly the horns), were being shaped into the "S" style. But I guess if the C64S's body is cut using a totally different template than a C64, you may not see the wood flaws until the body is completed. Hence you would end up with a Jetglo C64S. Whatever - it's still cool!

From what Chris told me, he requested Jetglo form the start and as far as he knows, there are no flaws in the wood. He and and someone else were brainstorming when the Jetglo idea came up. Apparently, they got Rickenbacker to agree to do a few basses in that finish.
If you think all is going well, you've obviously overlooked something.
Sorry Ron - when I say "flaws" I don't mean to denigrate your bass.
Still, the official C-series bass finishes have always been Fireglo and Mapleglo, based on the two versions of the McCartney bass. Jetglo instruments usually show up when the wood is not cosmetically clean enough and needs an opaque finish. If Chris at POTR was able to get RIC to finish a C64S Jetglo when the wood was nice enough to be a translucent finish, this would seem like a departure in their manufacturing process. Whatever the reason, I'm happy for you and look forward to pics when it arrives.

Trust me, I was just as inquisitive when I called. I figured that the Jetglo was a unique finish and years from now when the C64 ceases production, I can advertise it on Ebay as a "Rare Jetglo Finish!" and see if a feeding frenzy occurs
