PIX OF MY RIX!!

Post by golfo »

thanks for all helping me choose these two. i didn't think the 330/12 was going to work out but my fingers starting making some quick gains after playing for a few hours so i decided it was a go. what a lush, orchestral sound! you folks weren't kidding - a rick 12 is an experience like no other (guitar-wise, anyway). the 360/6 has a great twang to it and is not unlike my teles. a definite plus, imho. and the montezuma brown - great take on the trad sunburst.

anyway - wanted to share my excitement. thanks again.

Now ya got it!

You gotta love them. Beautiful, Geoff.

thanks, paul.
these really are beautiful to look at. the finish work is some of the best i've seen anywhere. and i've never heard guitars that are so clear - no mud anywhere. i'm very impressed.

i've already snapped two g-strings (sounds much more exciting than it was). the high octave g. that gave me a little taste of what a string change is going to take. not looking forward to that. i heard that rog mcguinn talks about how to change strings on a 12er on one of his videos. can anyone corroborate that for me?
regards

McGuinn's video The 12 String Guitar of Roger McGuinn runs through it.

Nice guitars, Geoff! There is nothing like a Ric 12'er - I have a 660/12 that I can sit and just play forever.

Hey, I would like to get a copy of the McGuinn 12-string video. I've heard of that before from a Forum member, and it sounds like a good idea. Where is the most likely place to locate one - a bigger guitar store, or some kind of internet source?
