Bob, I have a similar experience to yours in that one time I was going to lead a "choir" of Asian kids singing American show tunes ("Summertime", "I've Got Plenty of Nuthin'") with just my Ric 360 and Laney amp. There were a bunch of skits ahead of us so I pushed the amp up against a back wall to get it out of the way, not knowing that there was an aircon unit 15 feet above the very spot where my amp sat. Over the 1-hour of skits, water dripped down on the amp, so when the choir was ready to sing, the amp had shorted out and I had zero volume. I still led the singing by playing the Ric acoustically, but those kids were not as confident as they would've been with a full-strength guitar accompanying.
