Ken, these guys are all over the place: in the far east & eastern europe especially, even here. I have kept up with harrasing emails to him and I have bounced all his return emails to me, which probably only makes him more angry.

The seller sounds like the typical lazy idiot who thinks that he/she/it should have full right to use or own anything, no matter if it's someone eles's property.

I fault him/her/it for (1) not obtaining permission to use said picture, and (2) not stating that the picture is NOT the bass for sale.

I have bought items in the past that had no picture, and was disappointed only once (not RIC-related).

Damn !

I'm sorry that it's turned out to be a scam. I was going to treat myself to that 4005 once those Nigerians had sent me that cash they promised.

Who knows if it was a scam. It sure sounded like one, and the seller used a picture of Mike's 4005.
I did see that the auction went the distance, and sold to someone in the US I think.
I hope the poor guy didn't get screwed.

Well done Mike, I wondered if the 'winner' with zero feedback was one of the good guys..
