On my rather rushed math I think that makes 8/9 for Nottingham on the 24th July. Small pub room then! I might have a word with a couple of other venues to see if they've got anything suitable for a small party. If we can get better numbers, that would be great!
enough, already.

I can probably only make London in the two weeks I,m there, (July 1-15th). If anyone is up for a smaller London meeting that would be cool....

I have been talking to some one who may be willing to sponsor this event, but I need a few days to sort it out. The venue would be in the Midlands, big enough, secure, have plenty of parking, with a pay bar & a free buffet!
Got to be worth chasing. Give me untill after the weekend, they will make a decision then & then I can put it too you.

We are talking about the same date....Sunday 24th July.

I live in Plymouth, Devon and would love to come! Glad to hear John has been to our neck of the woods, I use to go to school near Barnstaple for a while, and know Ottery St Mary really well, I go up to Exeter quite a lot.

I'll help keep it up at the top, Peter. Maybe the idea of Scunthorpe has put them off!!

Or else it may be feeding time at the zoo.........

I have heard from my sponsor possibility now & he is prepared to sponsor the event, but would not be able to untill September. It would take the form of a Rickenbacker show, with forum members invited to bring some gtrs along, as well as the sponsers Rickenbackers (of which most are for sale). As there are only about a dozen of us on the forum that would probably attend, a limited number of invitations would be made to non forum folk. This would enable us to have a professional quality show, with enough people to satisfy the sponsor & create a good atmosphere. Amps would be available to try gtrs through.

It sounds good to me....what about you?

Sounds good to me too, but I am working the first two weekends in September (the second being the B'ham guitar show) and possibly the third too. The last weekend is the best for me. Who is the sponsor or is that confidential at the moment?
