Hey thanks man!

That damn shiller at the end! Idiot

Think this is a 4008 instead of a 4003S/8;
reverse stringing, butchered bridge...

We'll see in a couple 'o days...

Man, that was a great price! Good score, Jared, if I hadn't just been drained by my new 4001CS you would have had some competition for that one....

Enjoy it! I have a White 4003s/8 that's fun to play with a pick.

Brian,

I found some neat ways to make it sing with a pick. It just took some time to get used to, much like the 4003s/5.

That's great....I'm glad that it grew on you. My s8 is in competition to be my #1 go-to bass. The s5, on the other hand, I could never adjust to so you got me beat on that one.

One change I'm going to make on my s5 is a change of saddles once Jeff Rath gets some. But in reality, it's the most comfortable 5-string neck I've played. I'll probably be in line once the 4004Cii5 resumes production.

Whoever bought it I'd be careful, it looks like it has red die sunk into it on the back. I recognize unpleznt but forgot who it was here. I sold a white (and included that fact right in the desription) 4003 because of that exact problem, I played it one hot sweaty night with a brand new red shirt on and the die went into the wood, and you can't get it out. It looked exactly like this but this one is worse than mine was.

the white basses are notorious for discoloration ... the one I had was white and cream and green and brown ...

and Green Eggs and Ham...

This looks to be a bass I will actually PLAY! Given the karma-chameleon finish it will more likely be refinished.

Suggestions to follow.
