B5-B50

Post by Scastles »

If I replace a B50 with a B5 am I looking at a problem as far as hole alignment or are they the same in set/dimensions? Or am I looking at any problem for that matter?

Stan: From what I can see the footprint of the B50 and B5 are the same. I have made an inquiry but no response as yet. If you go to the bigsby site the B50, B5 and B500 are all listed for the Model 325.

Peter, I broke down and called them and all would be the same. Now, my next step is to decide to go with the 'real' vintage Bigsby other than the B-50

Thanks Stan. As I expected but it is nice to be sure. Stan, I cannot imagine going with anything but the B5. It has the look and the quality.

Well, unfortunately I did, so now I will start all over. And this is after I cut down the coils on the B-50 to get the arm right...(if you recall). What's few hundred extra pesos, or in this case about $79.
