Saw a few RICs in stock today...
I decided to go to a guitar store that actually had an inventory of RICs. It was pure eye candy. I hadn't realized the somewhat small body size of the 620s and 660s but both sure felt comfortable as did a 350/12v63. It was the first time I actually had seen these in person. (I know, I lead a sheltered life) Among the 330s was an unusual blue one. The sales person said it was a custom color. Not turquoise but sort of an electric metallic blue. It was the first time I'd ever seen that color.
Dan, was it the new BlueBurst (darker blue fading to ligher in the middle), or was it Midnight Blue, with a solid royal-blue color with beautiful metal flake, like this:
Here's another shot that shows the 'electric' nature of the midnight blue:
If this is the color you saw, it's Midnight Blue, a standard Ric color, and my favorite of them all!

Well, Dan, knowing that RIC does not do customs, this does sound like a repaint...
Yeah, I know, there's those Mary Chapin Carpenter BBRs and The Hudson Purpleburst...

Not too many Ricks in stock in Melbourne any more. Two that I had my eye on disappeared in the last fortnight. Did some hunting Saturday and yesterday and all I could find (in 6/12) were a 330/12 JG, a 340/12 JG, a 330/6 FG, a 370/12 FG (tempted) and a used 620/6 FG. There may still be a 360/6 MG in one of the stores but I couldn't get there.
Hope RIC isn't too far away from shipping some of the goodies destined for OZ - I'm just about ready to spend up!!

Only two, Dan. A 330/6 FG and a 660/12 FG. I'm going to have a look at another forumite's 350v63 JG (if he hasn't sold it already) when my ship sails in and I would really like a 360/6. I also plan to buy a 4003 FG (which a dealer still has at present).

Well there you go!
I'm a senior consultant with a 'solutions provider'. We market our own distribution, accounting and service packages. I do a lot of customization consulting and programming as well as integration with 3rd party applications. I'm also the 'main man' when it comes to data conversions from other systems to ours as well as designing and writing the code for various data import and export 'engines'. We were Unix based but nowadays it's all running on Linux or Windows through a couple of database management systems.
We also are an ISP and do web design and E-commerce design and integration with our packages.
