No...US. The $900us...that's the bargain! I think....
Thanks to all that have helped on "Project 12" (all that is but the dude who bought the $900 360/12, I hope it's a forum member who can gloat over his deal!)
Actually, I had considered buying both (It would have streched me beyond the breaking point), so I can't feel too bad about it.

Hope there's a few bikkies left in the tin for a trip to Melbourne (or wherever) for a confluence!!
You've lost my newbie brain at this point?
Also - did you see the '67 340/345 (with a ..gasp..P-90 in hte bridge that Guitar Emporium had for a while last week, or week before?)
Had 2 original toasters, a bigsby (hence the /345) and original paint and was $1895AU

Sorry, Andrew. Translation: "Hope you've got some money left over for a trip to Melbourne (or wherever) for a get-together of Rick owners and lovers". A couple of us are thinking of putting something together in the not too distant future.
Can't say that I saw the Guitar Emporium unit. Sounds a bit yukky!!!

My point exactly Lawrence, we both know that from when we worked at Electro in the 70's. The Klusons hung over the side of the peg head and would have to be ground down a bit to fit the thickness. Don't be so technical, it's only a wooden guitar. Andrew, do you have an overarm pin router and a 12 string slot template? This is what we used at Rick to notch the slots with a 1/4inch carbide bit. We didn't drill the side holes 1st, they were done after the routing. We used marking templates and drilled them by hand on the 1/2inch drill press. The maple is strong enough to accept the extra tuners while maintaining enough strength to function as a 12 string. I've done this conversion to many Rick 6
strings. IMO leave your 340 as is and save up for the real thing. If you don't have the experience to do this kind of modification then don't attempt it cause you could end up having to graft on a new peg head. It only takes 1 slip up with a hand router to destroy the peg head.
