I would have been dead 12 years ago.

How old are YOU, Sean? I'd hate to put a moniker like that on myself, seeing as I would have died less than a month ago. Image

I'm 35. This is going to sound very morbid, but ever since I was a little kid, I've always had the vision/dreams/etc that I'd never make it to 40. Hard to explain.

Sean, I have a brother in law who used to feel the exact same way, dead by 40. He is almost 60 years old now.
Is everybody ready?

Sometimes when we're young, we think that 40 is a LONG way away...when you get closer to it, you realize there is a lot more of the way to go.

well, not that i have a deathwish for myself or anything, but i've lived a pretty full life already. if i went by 40, it wouldn't be so bad.

As a bit of an aside - it's always a difficult thing deciding on a band name. Any good stories for how you came up with yours? I'm presently in two bands and with my latest, we had a terrible time coming up with a name. We eventually decided to each choose one word (there are 3 of us), fuse them together and then we collectively decided on the order.

I too like that name. Dead by Forty is catchy, especially for a 16 year old-you've got 24 years of fun to go!
