Acutally the picture he sent me is very high quality, I just had to reduce it down to almost nothing to fit under the size cap of this forum...so that's why it looks so distorted. Again thanks for all of the input....

Here it is again, it has no early features at all except for the 1/2" neck pickup spacing, my guess is '74-'75 maybe.

could be a late 73,early 73s had vintage stuff late 73 fully transitioned mid, 73 checherboard binding regular inlays...

The serial number the seller gave me puts it at November 1973. I'm excited about getting it. I had a white 4001 in the mid to late 70's and I have to admit it was probably the most beautiful bass I ever owned (it's long gone). I never got the sound I was looking for, but then again, I was just a kid and had little in the way of equipment. This is kind of a nostalgia piece for me more than anything. Now if I can just explain to my wife that the two bass limit she has imposed on me has just been raised to three....

If it has red side dot markers its a '74.
