Played an outdoor show last night ...
.......on a Lake in N.E. Alabama (Weiss Lake). One of the people in attendance was the former bass player in a band one of my guitar players was in. He is a devoted Fenderphile. I let him play my 4003. Afterward he told me that was the best playing bass he had ever played. Easy to play and great sound and sustain. Now he wants one. The night before we had played another outdoor gig in Tennessee. We got 3 encores there. All in all, a good weekend.

I got another outdoor show on Saturday. Not real sure how thats gonna go as one of our guitar players is going to be on vacation this week. We've played without him before but I don't much like to. It usually sounds to me like something's missing. My band, Vintage, plays outdoors fairly frequently during spring and summer months and tries to play the bars and clubs during fall and winter. We stay fairly busy but we all have day jobs, too.
