He's going for the Turq S model with a little more than an hour to go. Are you one of the Forum members? I would like to get pictures of it for the book if you are.

It looks like Brian lost it (by 10 dollars) with a few seconds left to go in the auction. If the winner is one of us, he (or she) got a great looking bass.

I was hemming and hawing about it too, but didn't end up bidding. A 4003S in that finish isn't very common.

That's the spirit, Brian! Of course, if I lost an auction like that, I would be hitting my head against the wall for about an hour or so... :-)

It's not that Brian lost the bass for $10, it's just that the winning bidder took it for $10 above Brian's highest bid. Theoretically it's possible that the winner has bid $1,000,000 and still won it for $10 above the next highest bidder's max.

Hello Paul - I've read about the book idea which sounds great! I've got a turq 4003s 8 string if you want pictures! I swapped on a black scratchplate and TRC and really like the effect (alas I'd have to send pictures snail mail... I've STILL not got into the 21st century!) ..let me know! same applies if you want cheq binding/4005 pics... in various colours...! (ouch!!)

That was a real sleeper in my book. Niiice bass, hard to find finish, and an "S" to boot. I wish I'd have bid on it. Hope a forum member picked it up.

Oh, well..............They'll be others,,, right?

Hello Simon, yes, I was planning to get in touch with you as you probably have the largest Rick bass collection in the galaxy. Snail-mailing old fashioned film photos is just fine. I'll try to e-mail you direct to work out arrangements.

Guys, I heard from the buyer of the Turq S model, and he is one of us but doesn't want to reveal himself just yet. We'll all know sooner or later. At least we can rest knowing that it is in good hands.

I think it was a Shadow during your feeding frenzy. I'm not 100% sure either but I remember several auctions that you outbid me on (before I knew it was you or maybe before I was even a member here)....you may not have been the high bidder at the end but I do remember muttering "apple-$%$#@$#-tree $^^&$$#@-'s again!!!!!!" several times Image.
