Red with white trim

Kinda beat, but a color combo not often seen. Most of the "red" ones I've seen have black trim/binding:

I think that's a Rubyglo. I had one like that. Most 4003 basses with the Rubyglo finish had white trim. The 4003 basses with the finish listed as RED had black trim. The RED finish was darker. Rubyglo looked brighter and a bit metallic.
JETGLO should officially be renamed JETGLO ROCKS! :-)

Hm... A novel way to install a horseshoe pickup on a Rick bass.
A Rickenbacker bass is much like the Jaguar E car - perennially ultra-fashionable.

I was just wondering about that! You have to play everything backwards on it.

that's because the screw holes line up that way. The reissue h/s surround has the small width (screws) on the bottom, near the cut outs. It is the opposite with the standard surround.
