620 JG Has Arrived

My first Ric, a 620 Jetglo arrived last night. She is beautiful..and so tiny! Although small and lightweight, the 620 also has a great overall solidness.

After 25 years of playing, I can't believe I haven't owned a Ric before. My 13 old daughter, who is starting to learn bass, fell in love with the 620; the small size, the finish, the beautiful details of the binding, pickguard and TRC.

Immediately, my mind started racing to what guitars I could sell in order to buy more Rickenbackers! A 12-string is definitely the next one.

Where did you purchase the 620?

This time around, I purchased it from Musicians Friend, solely because I had a credit line on their card. Still, I had no problem with them, and it shipped out on time and in perfect condition.

However, next time out, I hope to make my Rickenbacker/Vox purchases through a more "personal" company such as Pick of the Ricks, North Coast Music, The Music Connection, etc.
I much prefer to give these guys my business. But that open credit line was so very persuasive

Congratulations from me also, Chris.

I believe that the glue used in the case (which I'm told produces that lovely smell) has a secret ingredient (from deep in the Amazon rainforests) that puts you into a sort of trance - glazed eyes, smarmy smile, 'devil may care' attitude to finances - stuff like that! Be very careful - there are no Betty Ford clinics for this one!!

I've been battling with time zones ever since I started on the forum, Paul! My post above (6.23pm) was 7.23am here. As far as GMT is concerned, ******** if I know! Maybe 10 or 11 hours ahead.

Perhaps we should start a thread where a nominated person in each time zone posts at the same time. From there I'm sure we could work it all out!

I've worked out a few things:

I'm 10 hours ahead of GMT, 13 hours ahead of Peter (who's in the same time zone as Greenland!) and 18 hours ahead of you, Paul. Both Peter and you are on daylight saving at present.
