Ampeg BA115

Post by jaybic »

Alright...after reading the praises of Ampeg here for awhile, I finally went out and purchased my first Ampeg - the BA115 combo. Recieved it last night and it really does sound good out of the box. Was blown away by the clarity of the bass sound. With the volume at 3, I still felt the floor shake and heard the plates rattle. Of course this was in my dining room though. I am eager to take it to our weekly practice this Sunday and see how it sounds in a more open area. After years of playing through my brother's Peavey TKO 115, this is a welcomed change....and it's mine!! All Mine!!!! hehehe...oh boy...I'm having too much fun....

I had one for a while, it was nice but slightly under-powered once we added a second guitarist. Sounded great tho'.

I do play with two guitarists and a keyboardist - however, the small venues we play it will do just fine. An option I like is the XLR line out - so if I need to, I can run a line to the PA when we start playing some outdoor summer festivals

I picked up a like new 2003 model from a pawn shop that had been sitting there for 9 months until I couldn't take it no more. A very good amp for under $300 in my case.
