Uneven tension on truss rods - neck twist?
I have an underbow on the EBG side of the neck. The DAE side is almost dead straight. I've applied as must torque as I can by hand to a screwdriver type handle to the bottom truss rod and the underbow is only slight. However the DAE side is now slightly overbowed. I have removed all torque to the nut of the top truss rod and the neck seems okay for the moment.
Can someone advise though whether this un even tension on the truss rods is likely to lead to a twist in the neck. I remember reading somewhere that the torque applied to the truss rods should be basically the same. I know that by using a ratchet wrench I could tighten the lower truss rod more to minimise the underbow but I know it will also cause the other side of the neck to over bow further and there is virtually no tension in the top truss to correct for overbow.
Is this one of these situations where you just keep an eye on the neck and ease the torque off if a twist starts to appear or do I cut my loses and reduce the tension on the bottom truss rod and put a little more torque on the top truss rod nut straight away?

Sometimes (like the past four weeks) we're simply at the mercy of the manufacturers. When they don't have parts in stock, there's really nothing we can do.
Another week, tops, and we'll ship a JangleBox, Bob. I'm really sorry about the delay... we've added 50% more units to this production run, and are now trying out a new assembler just to try to prevent these delays in the future.
