Swapping hot toasters for scatterwound on a 90's 325v,is that vadalism and does that affect the value one way or another?

Mitch, if the mod was done sympathetically and in a reversible manner, and if you save the old scats, you won't have a problem.

Any new buyer would then have a choice of sounds.

Stay away from tiger stripes and leopard spots, though.

Thanks Paul,actually my 1997 325v has the original toasters and I was thinking about replacing them with with new 7.4 scats but I probably won't because I am too much of an obsessive compulsive to make that kind of change to my guitar which is really perfect the way it is.
