Serious GAS and pickup questions

Post by teddy_boy »

Hi guys!

My next guitar was going to be a 360/6 JG, but since I have laid my eyes on a 381v69/6 MG and fallen in love. There are a few questions though for all you 381 owners...

What is the neck like? How thick is it? My 620 is pretty thick, thicker than my lp or strat. What about the width. I'd prefer something a little wider than the 620.

How powerful are the toaster pickups, say, compared to my AV'62RI or the 620? And how is it that you compare the "hottness" of a pickup. kOhms or what?

Sorry for a lot of questions... I'm a bit lost! Also tell me anything you like about the 381!!

Best,

Thomas

The 381 is a spectacular guitar, and the MG ones have the most beautiful grain to their finishes, too. The neck is comparable to your 620 in both thickness and width.

I wouldn't trade my 381 for any other electric guitar.
