I can't seem to get any opinions on this dealio, but wanted to mention that the BA210Sp does not have external out!

OK, Looking at one new is close to a grand it seems. Pretty steep, I'd say, especially with no DI.

The following link seems to indicate otherwise:

http://shop.guitarbargains.com/product-froogle.lasso?pr=019284&-Session=shop:C6CBAFAF0f041279AFJHNx102E5A&stid=guitarbargains&from=http%3A//www.google.com/search%3Fhl%3Den%26q%3DAmpeg+BA+210+SP%26btnG%3DGoogle+Search

If it does have the line out (I can't imagine it NOT having one) then this is a great amp for a decent price (IMO). If it's in good enough condition...

OK, I think you mean there's no way to hook up an external speaker. It looks like that may be the case without digging, but it should be realtively easy to change that.

By external I meant speaker. You would have to have another amp to run the other 2x10 cab..

I played with a guy for a short time that had the 100 W version, and it was a good amp. I can't imagine the 220 W version being worse.

My idea is that there *should* be someone who can make a mod and put in way to hook an external speaker. Only question at that point is what type of load can the amp handle? My guess is you shouldn't make it run less than 4 ohms.

"really late Romantic/20th Century orchestral and chamber music"

Can you dance to it? I give it a 2.5

I think it exists... Image Whether or not one calls it "music" might be a debatable point. It's kind of an acquired taste.

Hey, there are a lot of Yes fans within the Rick bass community..."Firebird" falls into that category, as does a lot of Debussy, Ravel, and a host of Russian weirdos...

What is the speaker load on it now Charlie? If it does not have an extension speaker jack on it it probably is running at it's minimum impedance now which allows it to run at it's max output power. I have two small SS 100 watt Ampegs like that, they run them at 4 ohms to get the max power output into the one 15" that is in the amp. That is one of the reasons I don't like self contained amps. I like Ampeg, always have but think that was kind of a chintzy thing for them to do.

It's got 2 8 ohm speakers so it's 4 ohms.

Yeah you won't be able to run an extension cab with that, unless it's got the ex. speaker out jack.

Yeah I wouldn't hook an ex. cab to it unless it has the ex. speaker jack.
