It sure looks like a v63 to me.

The site makes mention of the cover plate being repaired. The pick up looks like the horseshoe style, with the large magnets.

It looks like a V63 because there is no dot in the 19th position. I believe the standard S's don't stop at 17.

I'd say its a one off V63.

Yep, that is a re-issue HS pickup with the 'shoes removed.
A Rickenbacker bass is much like the Jaguar E car - perennially ultra-fashionable.

The second one was on eBay the same time I bought my 4001CS. Chris from POTR won the auction, and later sold it. Timing is everything! :-)

Why buy a v63 with shoes, and then strip them off, what a waste !!!
