Any Other Silver 4003 Owners Around?

Post by baces_high »

I was just curious...i was always told that Silver is a rare if not very rare colour for Rics.
I did an online search on several forums seeing how many i could find...i only found about 3 more besides my own.
I know the finnish was offered for a few years...but you rarely see them on Ebay or any other forums.

Anyone know exactly how rare this finnish is? Any approximate numbers of how many were made maybe?

Thanks for any info...just thought id make a nice Thursday morning thread before i head off to work :D

I have a 4003(JG) and my hair is turning silver. Does that count?

Someday I want to get a silver 4003 and convert it to a 5 string ... the only problem with silver Rics is they turn green with age ... but the silver and black is a nice look ...

I agree...the silver/black combo is a nice one. I heard the "turning green" thing as well...luckily i have been spared such events....Thus far...And mine is an '86 so its getting up there in age. Hopefully i wont have that problem.
