I'm going with Autumn-/Montezuma-glo, gold guards.

Not too much red in the Autumn, please!

Dale: This has been a great learning process and I am glad you decided to post it on The Rickenbacker Forum. It has been our good fortune.

I am still undecided on a color, however, as this is a one of a kind instrument I would argue for a totally unique color but one that shows the grain of the intstrument. I definitely vote for gold guards though. I will also be interested to see your one-of-a-kind nameplate.

Autumnglo with gold guards. It is nice of you to offer it up for Howard. If not, I would have suggested Peter.

Dale, the Autumnglo in Ron's picture, is perfect. It is a rare color for a rare guitar and most importantly, it's a Rickenbacker classic look. I'm surprised that no one has mentioned Fireglo, as it would be an equal pick, at least for me. If I had to pick one color that all Rics would be made of it would be Fireglo - thankfully that's not the case. Regardless, I hope it will be some type of glo to let the character of the wood ADD to its beauty.

Gorgeous photo and this certainly illustrates the beauty of checkered binding with the Jetglo finish Cole.

Autumnglo (but with gloss finish).
Hudson Purpleburst runs a close second.

What's 'Hudson' Purpleburst, J.O.B.?

Can I cast a second vote? After seeing that beauty that Ron posted - Autumglo!!

An orangeglo or stain would be cool if done right along with the gold guards.

That would be a one of a kind!

Maybe gold plated hardware?

Orange County.....get it????

Ted,
I love greenburst too, but after suggesting a Lightshow model I figured mentioning greenburst second would get me shot! He he.

A nice deep fireglo...bordering on the brown side. A class finish for a class guitar....
'Rickenbacker'...what a name! After all these years, it still thrills me.
