The one on the right is a 1967 Kustom Bass.
The one on the left is a late 1970s Shaftesbury.
Notice some similarities to the 4005.
The Kustom, which is a three quarter scale has great tone and feel. A terrific bass -- always has been.
The Shaftesbury is figured like a 330 body and is a basic Ric ripoff. Prety muddy sounding. Bill Wyman once used one. I think I've seen pictures of him using one on this forum.
However, neither measure up to the 4005!
