"The History of Rickenbacker Guitars" by Richard Smith is about the only book out there that covers the basses (no pun intended/well,maybe).
Is everybody ready?

Or you can wait until Paul Boyer's book comes out.

Hi Peter and all,

The book is a work in progress. It's my retirement project, and I retire next summer. I hope to have the book published in 2007 or 2008. No publishing contract yet, so right now the book is mostly good intentions, a lot of support from Forum members, a good collection of photos, an intro, and two partial chapters written. I've already gotten an "order" from Mike Parks for the book, but realistically, it's a couple years away.
