Just picked this up today - a lovely February '91 350 Liverpool. Thanks to fellow Melbourne forumite Ron Viney for letting her go! Ron rated it 7.5 to 8, I rate it.... hell, it's a Rickenbacker - numbers don't mean much to me but I rate it 9 plus!!

Let's just say it's a wee ripper!!

Here's a family shot (as it stands now) - the Fireglo 360/6 is on order.

The pictures are pretty ****** but I bought a new Canon ixus 700 digital today so as soon as I come to grips with that I'll post some more.

Oh.... and a heartfelt thank you to to my darling mother. I used to play for her 2 or 3 nights a week toward the end (January 1 this year) and she wanted me to pursue my new love with a passion! Hi mum - looky what I got!! Image

Howard,

Your Mum would be so proud of you! Congratulations on your new arrivals...you didn't tell me you had picked up the 4003 as well! What wonderful taste you have! Hope your new camera has a wide-angled lens....you'll need one to fit in all of the Rickenbackers next time we get together!

Darren, it's got the lot! Sorry I haven't been in touch lately but as you can see I've been busy!!

The neck on the 4003 is all over the place at the moment. It had a bow in it which was rectified, but now I think it's stightly twisted. Truss rod adjustments......... sheesh!!!

Still all crossed up over amps, however.........

Geez Howard, leave some for the rest of us!
Haha, just kidding.

I dig all that Fireglo, and the Jetglo fits nicely in.

On the 360 did you order Hi-Gains or the Toasters?

Contratualtions Howard. That's exactly the kind of black sheep that we should all have in our fireglo family.

Thanks guys. Hi-gains on the 360, Patrick. I'm assuming the pups on the 350 are hi-gains - they're black with raised 'bumps' where the poles are. Not quite as bright as I expected but I haven't had much of a chance to experiment with settings yet.

My mum always used to refer to me as 'the black sheep of the family', Peter..... kind of appropriate, eh?

Jeez Howard! Almost one a month. Beautiful line up. Well done. Congrats!

I think my next Ric will be a 350V63. I love the 325 body shape, but with the full scale neck. The Jetglo is gorgeous next to all that fire!

Fine lineup, Howard. I peronally like the 350's. I wish I still had mine.

Howard,

Impressive collection and there's nothing wrong with your photography! Seems like I'm about the only member who owns guitars only..maybe I need a 4001 Bass? Image

Paul: Thanks very much for that. I may get the TL SE today. I'm still at home getting over the 'flu. I finally got some fresh air yesterday and I think I may need some more today, if you get my drift.... Image

Dean: I love the small body with the full scale neck. The 330 feels like a jumbo acoustic in comparison. Ron had 9 lights on it but I'm going to change to Rick 10s today.

Larry: GO FOR IT!!

Howard, I look forward to sharing TL SE tips and settings with you, since we have similar guitars.

You STILL need a Gretsch, Buddy. No, make that 2 Gretsches: A solid and a hollow.
