8 days a week intro

Post by tito »

I was wondering what the chord progression is at the start of this song. On the 12 string that is. . .

Try this...
E-A--D-G--B--E
0-0-12-11-10-0
0-0-12-11-12H-0
0-0-12-11-10-0

.....
0-0-14-13-12-0
0-0-14-13-14H-0
0-0-14-13-12-0

.....
0-0-17-16-15-0
0-0-17-16-17H-0
0-0-17-16-15-0

.....
0-0-12-11-10-0
0-0-12-11-12H-0
0-0-12-11-10-0

Make sure to let the high 'E' ring out... Try not to hit the two lower pitched strings either. I was going to tab them as 'x' but that would have looked weird.

Have a good one.

I have always played that intro with the D string open and just fingered the 2nd and 3rd strings, as Stuart charted. That will give you the droning lower D, along with that high open E.
