Makes the one that Fretted Americanas had look cheap by comparison ($8,500)
If you think all is going well, you've obviously overlooked something.

If no one bids at the end, you can take a chance an offer less. I think it's gonna go however...

I got confused myself, I thought this thread was referring to the FG. That MG appears priced a little high. The Fireglo appears to be a rarer item, but in line with recent sales.

I was about to make the "Rock out like Motorhead" comment, but I was beaten to the punch!

On a scale of 1-10, 10 being completely bonkers, how absurd an asking price is $11,000 for that bass?

Personally, I think the single bound ones with the round top edges look a million times better, but that's just me.

Supply / Demand

They are "worth" whatever someone is willing to pay....

I KNOW I "overpaid" for this one:

BUT I got what I wanted , had NO competitors for it, and am completely happy with it...

I wouldn't even blink if someone paid that for it...I may swallow hard and smile weakly, but I wouldn't blink... ;^)

....and FWIW, I think I wayyyy UNDERPAID for my double bound 4005....so it kind of evened out, I guess....you'd have to ask my wife ;^)
