The same guy made a Yellow Submarine guitar (not a Ric) which isn't toooo bad. But this is. Looks like Lennon with a black eye.

I remember when the artist, Doug Rowell, was auctioning this guitar on eBay in October 2001. He insisted that the guitar body was maple and a model 220, while I told him that the pickups, controls, neck, headstock, and bridge/tailpiece indicated that this was a model 430, which had a mahogany body. He told me I was wrong, although the guitar was "surprisingly light for a maple body." I didn't ask him for the serial number, which probably would have settled it.

I didn't know Benjamin Franklin played a Rickenbacker.

Kenny, Someone punched Lennon (in the left eye) while he was sitting for this piece. Something to do with throwin' Best out of the band!
